Therapy Intensives

Is traditional weekly therapy not working for you?

Do you feel like you're making progress — but it's too slow?

Are you overwhelmed by something too big to unpack in just 50 minutes a week?

Do you leave sessions with more insight but not enough change?

Do you find yourself needing support now, not weeks or months down the road?

Have you outgrown surface-level coping tools and want to go deeper?

Is your schedule too unpredictable to commit to weekly therapy?

Therapy intensives are longer, in-depth therapy sessions designed to help you dive deeper into your healing journey in a focused, intentional way.

Unlike traditional weekly therapy, which unfolds over months, intensives offer extended time — typically half-day, full-day, or multi-day sessions — dedicated to exploring and processing your challenges at a deeper level.

Why Choose a Therapy Intensive?

For some, weekly sessions don’t feel like enough time to truly get into the heart of an issue before the session ends. Therapy intensives allow for:

  • Skip the waitlist — Gain immediate access to therapy, so you can start your journey without delay.

  • Preferred schedule and timeline Experience the flexibility of setting a schedule that aligns with your unique needs and goals.

  • Accelerated progress — With extended time, you can explore deeply and tackle challenges that might otherwise take weeks or months in traditional therapy.

  • Profound healing Enjoy uninterrupted sessions that allow you to fully process emotions, gain deeper insights, and build lasting coping skills.

  • Seamless Continuity — Avoid the disruptions of weekly pauses, maintaining momentum for lasting progress.

  • A reset and fresh perspective — Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or at a crossroads, an intensive can help you break through barriers.

Types of Therapy Intensives

Therapy intensives are highly personalized and may include talk therapy, somatic (body-based) practices, mindfulness exercises, guided reflection, and experiential techniques to help you process emotions and develop new coping strategies. Sessions take place in a quiet, intentional setting—whether in an office, nature-based environment, or retreat-like space.

Therapy intensives can be structured in different ways based on individual needs, availability, and therapeutic goals. Here are some examples of therapy intensive formats that I offer:

    • A focused deep-dive into a specific issue (e.g., processing a past trauma, navigating a major life transition, or breaking through a stuck pattern).

    • Includes breaks and grounding exercises to help integrate insights.

    • Ideal for clients who need targeted support but aren’t ready for a full-day commitment.

    • Designed for in-depth processing and skill-building, with breaks and integration exercises throughout the day.

    • May include somatic work, mindfulness practices, or experiential therapy alongside talk therapy.

    • Suitable for individuals at a turning point or seeking faster progress on a particular challenge.

    • A structured therapeutic retreat that allows for layered processing, deeper emotional work, and personal transformation.

    • May focus on healing from trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, or self-discovery.

    • Great for clients looking for significant momentum in their healing journey.

    • A hybrid approach between weekly therapy and immersive intensives.

    • Allows time between sessions for reflection and integration while maintaining consistency in deep work.

    • Works well for those balancing a busy schedule or preferring periodic deep dives instead of weekly sessions.

    • Clarity around recurring patterns, stuck points, or painful experiences that have been hard to untangle.

    • Relief from carrying emotional burdens alone, whether it’s trauma, grief, burnout, or internal conflict.

    • Breakthroughs in understanding how past experiences are impacting your present, with space to process at a deeper level.

    • Tools and strategies that are personalized and practical, so you can leave with more than just insight.

    • Momentum, a much-needed jumpstart when you’ve been feeling stalled or overwhelmed in your healing.

    • A sense of integration where mind, body, and emotions can begin to feel more aligned.

It’s not about “fixing” everything at once — it’s about creating a meaningful shift that brings you closer to where you want to be.

  • Preparing for a therapy intensive can help you get the most out of your experience. Here are some key steps to consider:

    Set your intentions:

    • Take some time to reflect on what you hope to gain from the intensive.

    • Identify specific challenges, emotions, or patterns you want to explore.

    Take care of practical needs:

    • Schedule downtime before and after the session to allow for emotional processing. Avoid cramming your schedule immediately afterward.

    • Get adequate rest the night before and eat a nourishing meal beforehand to stay grounded.

    • Wear comfortable clothing, especially if the session involves movement, mindfulness, or outdoor elements.

    Bring essential items:

    • A notebook or journal to jot down insights, reflections, or emotions that come up.

    • Water, snacks, and comfort items (e.g., a cozy sweater, essential oils, or a grounding object).

    • Any worksheets or pre-session materials provided by your therapist.

    Be open to the process:

    • Therapy intensives can bring up deep emotions, so give yourself permission to experience whatever comes up without judgment.

    • If you start feeling overwhelmed, remember that breaks will be incorporated, and your therapist will guide you through regulation techniques.

    Plan for aftercare:

    • After an intensive, you may feel emotionally raw or mentally drained — this is normal.

    • Consider planning a quiet evening to reflect, rest, and engage in self-care activities.

    • Some clients find it helpful to journal, take a walk in nature, or practice deep breathing exercises to integrate their experience.

If you have any questions or specific concerns, feel free to reach out before your session so we can make sure you feel fully prepared and supported.

  • Therapy intensives are priced based on session length and structure, reflecting the depth of the work, additional preparation, and post-session integration support.

  • I do not accept any insurance, but I do offer a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network coverage.

Some insurance plans may partially reimburse out-of-network therapy sessions, including intensives. You can check with your provider to see if they cover extended therapy sessions.

Viewing therapy intensives as an investment in long-term growth and healing can help reframe the cost as part of your overall self-care. Your healing is worth investing in!

However, I do understand that finances can be a concern. Please reach out to discuss payment plan options and find one that works for you. Depending on availability, I may have reduced-rate spots for clients who need financial assistance, so please feel free to ask.
